This is a test within RealFlow to have a double helix grow out of water.
As a bonus, enjoy the glitch at the end of the video. Think of it as video art. 😀

So two weeks ago I started a beta program for a new online school that is starting up in January. Â I am in the character modeling course with a lot of other really talented people, so the entire experience is pretty fantastic. Â It also is getting me back into modeling. Â I have been focusing a lot of learning new technologies and working on motion graphics. Â So this is a very welcome addition to my life.
This class is only going on for four weeks and I figure this will end up being a GREAT portfolio piece at some point. Â I am also coming up on our third meeting this Tuesday and figured I should post some progress.
Week 1:
So this is from week 1. Â I probably spent about 2 to 3 hours on it, resizing an old model. Â That week had been pretty busy….so…yeah… I swear I have excuses.
Week 2:
This is where I stand tonight. Â I have till Tuesday and this is about another hour or so of work on the model. Â A lot of my focus is just get down my shape and then adjusting topology for shape. Â As far as edge flow, that is another matter and will come in due time. Â The basis is there, which is important and it makes moving forward much easier.
Now to send off an email, read and then to bed.  😀
Okay…its been a while. Â Just sayin’. Â I have been working on a lot of stuff for clients so I haven’t been able to really post anything here, but I do have this lovely video of a RealFlow test I did. Â It is stylized water filling up a sphere and it is the first pass. Â Yes it looks like gelatin, but it works so test successful!
In other news, I have started going through my Photorealism with Mental Ray course work.  If you would like to take the course, I would recommend heading over to CG Society.org and checking out their workshops.  It is an excellent price for everything that you learn.  I will be posting those updates but I won’t  be saying how I did anything unless it is different from the course.  It wouldn’t be fair to the instructor’s hard work.
So the heads are what I have been working on this weekend. Â I am actually submitting them as extra work for a job application. Â Wish me luck!
This final set of images are some of the things I worked on for the Lighting and Rendering course I took back in May/June.  I highly recommend the course if you get the chance to take it. 😀
I upgraded all my blogs to WordPress 2.8 today, so this post serves as an update/test post. Â I have been working on a lot of lighting work that I have not been posting here and on ripping the Riley model apart. Â Below is a progress shot of some of her topology fixes.
Still need to work on the ears and lips a bit more along with relaxing her face a bit around the mouth and eyes.
